ORGANIC FOODS - GOOD ENOUGH?
OK, organic food IS good because it is supposed to be grown with no artificial chemicals, growth hormones, sewage, waste, sustainable, etc, but Vegetarian/Vegan is what ultimately helps and protects animals (or LESS meat and animal product intake!!!). Organic farmers have been known to also be just as cruel and withhold treatment for ill or injured animals so they don't lose their organic labeling.
You should always be careful what company you buy your food from. Many large companies that do a lot of harm to the environment have branched into a vegetarian, vegan, organic, etc sector of foods, but their primary product line still destroys the environment and is cruel to animals, so you would still be putting your money in the pockets of the "criminals!"
And, organic DOES NOT mean cruelty-free!!!

"America's explosive interest in organic farming as the means to a sustainable, natural, healthy system of food production has already begun to change the face of agriculture. But if we are to continue along this promising path, a substantial reduction in the consumption of animal products will become a necessity. Currently, there are countless meat eaters who are comfortable advocates of organic farming, but I will venture to say that none of them has thought deeply about the problems with such a position."
